Are we to assume that everyone will just orderly stand behind each other in line, waiting to heal their many ailments? If there are 11 billion people on Earth which is a safe assumption based on estimates , it will take about years to heal everyone.
Even if somehow there are miraculously 10, med-beds and the whole process takes just over a year, then what? And, sure, now Earthlings can travel to Elysium, but then Elysium would just get overpopulated and the rich people would simply build a second, better Elysium — one where people actually spend time inside their houses. Improve this answer. Kruger's resurrection was the weirdest scene for me specially beard part. I didn't remember any conversation about Max's brain get's fried up. Yup i remember that saying them kruger can be resurrected because his brain is ok but kruger were definitely dead before resurrection. Get Known if you don't have an account. At the film's ending, Max sacrifices himself to make everyone on earth a citizen of Elysium, and thus, now able to use the station's medical machines to cure their diseases and sicknesses.
A happy ending for all, right? Actually, possibly not. In fact, Max might have made things even worse. When arriving at a station, you would need to slow down as you approach, meaning the engines should be firing forward or the shuttle should reverse direction.
This happens in all scenes where shuttles are approaching the station. Suggested correction: But the station spins to create artificial gravity for the outer rim where the ships are headed. The ships approaching are just matching speed and don't need to fully brake. Not when accelerating toward the structure. They would have to slow their approach, then match the radial velocity of the ring, which would still mean decelerating to match the structure's relative position in orbit.
